Cleo Roten Burchett

April 26, 1927 - October 22, 2011

Cleo Roten Burchett, 84, of Mooresville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, NC. Born April 26, 1927, in Wilkes County, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Nancy Perry Roten. Mrs. Burchett was a retired seamstress from Draymore Mfg. having over 20 years of service. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Mooresville. Mrs. Burchett was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Ray Burchett and daughter, Ruby Pauline Burchett. She is survived by her children, Jimmy Burchett and special friend, Judy Jones, of Sparta, Tommy Burchett and wife, Linda, of Mooresville, Nancy McGraw and husband, Jimmie, of Statesville, Russell Burchett and wife, Wanda, of Sparta, Robert Burchett and wife, Cathy, of Mooresville, Ruth Nantz and special friend, Michael Sellitto, of Salisbury, James Dale Burchett and special friend, Kim Russ, of Statesville, and Joe Allen Burchett and wife, Robin, of Troutman; 15 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren . Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Southside Baptist Church, Mooresville, with Dr. D. Steven Gouge and Rev. Hal Greene officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Sparta. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville.
