Catherine "Kate" Cummings Fisher

Catherine (Kate) Cummings Fisher, 72, of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville. Born December 28, 1939, in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late George and Helen Abel Cummings. Mrs. Fisher was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Mooresville Moose Lodge. She is survived by her children, Michael Mitchell and wife, Kathy, Teri Provenza and husband, Mike, and Kenneth Mitchell, Jr.; sisters, Helen Montgomery and Mary Hess-Freeman; grandchildren, Michelle Doyle, Michael Provenza and Shannon; William Mitchell, Michelle Mitchell, Kenneth Mitchell III, great grandchildren Kasey Doyle, Braxton Provenza, Skylar Provenza and Bradley Valentine; and special friends, Brenda Jenkins and Glenda Jenkins. The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:30 PM, Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville.
