Arlene Millsaps Chase

February 26, 1916 - January 11, 2012

Arlene Millsaps Chase, 95, of Doster Ave., Mooresville, went home to be with her Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, January 11, 2012.
Born February 26, 1916, in Iredell County, she was a daughter of the late William Parks and Bertha Rupard Millsaps. Mrs. Chase was a retired seamstress for Draymore Mfg. After retirement, she cared for numerous elderly people who became close friends of hers. Mrs. Chase was a longtime member of the Mooresville Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Alonzo Chase; loving daughter-in-law, Pamela Chase. She was also preceded by sisters, Glena M. Wilsom, Ozellar M. Shoemaker, Athene M. Marlowe and Louette M. Millsaps; brothers, Larrie “Dick” Millsaps, Thomas Millsaps, and Virgil Millsaps.
Mrs. Chase is survived by her children, Keith Chase and wife, Sandra and Aaron Chase, both of Mooresville; sister, Lorene M. Johnson, of Kannapolis; brother, W. P. “Dub” Millsaps, of Statesville; grandchildren, Casey, Kim, Devin and Prassie; eight great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2012, at the Mooresville Church of God, with Rev. John Miles and Rev. Donnie Wise officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Concord. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM on Friday at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
